Granada

Tuesday October 12th
In the morning a bus picked us up to take us to our guided tour of the Alahmbra. We met 3 other couples from the USA and I talked to a girl from Australia and a guy from Egypt (note: this was the first girl I have made friends with, she is the first one to talk much with me. Most girls are so snobby and judgemental!)
After the tour we were taken back to the Fiesta and we drove downtown to have lunch. It's a like scary pointing to things on the menu and hoping it's good. Fortunetly I know not to order the "mano de cerdo" after our late lunch I drove the 240 kilometers through beautiful contryside, back to the airport. We said goodbye to the fiesta and got a taxi to our hotel. It is super nice and right downtown! We are only a block from the huge cathedral and can see it from our window. We walked down to the river and watched the sunset from the bridge. On the other side if the river we found a restuarant overlooking the river and had a nice dinner and a few cervesas.

A view of Grenada and the gypsy caves in the mountains

Inside the Alhambra

In the summer gardens of the Alhambra (and by summer they mean all year around because the weather is always nice)

Beautiful tile work from the 9th century
